Culturally Responsive Education Cohort

Street Data

School and System Transformation with the Street Data Model

Inspired by Street Data: A Next-Generation Model for Equity, Pedagogy, and School Transformation, and in partnership with co-authors Dr. Jamila Dugan and Shane Safir, this program guides schools and districts in shifting from traditional data metrics to a more holistic approach, ultimately co-designing a change with students at the margins. Participants will explore how to:

Use qualitative "street data" to uncover the nuanced stories and voices of students, particularly those from marginalized communities.
Develop equity-focused systems that prioritize student voice, well-being, and authentic learning experiences.
Foster a culture of inquiry and growth through an iterative cycle of listening, reflecting, and redesigning.

Culturally Responsive Education Cohort

Grounded in the principles of Culturally Responsive Education in the Classroom by Dr. Adeyemi Stembridge, this cohort supports educators in building the mindsets and practices necessary for culturally sustaining teaching. In a series of Design Studios with Dr. Stembridge and cohort-based coaching sessions, participants will learn to:

Recognize and respond to the cultural assets and needs of diverse learners.
Leverage students' cultural identities as a foundation for meaningful and rigorous instruction.
Design learning environments that affirm student identities and disrupt patterns of inequity.

This cohort combines collaborative learning, practical application, and shared reflection to build participants’ capacity to make culturally responsive pedagogy how we do equity.
